Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?
I am going to be attending West Chester University this fall. I was inspired to choose this path because furthering my education is important to me. I plan to make the most out of life. Attending West Chester University is going to provide me with many opportunities and I am very excited to begin my next journey.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family means the world to me, I would not be where I am today without them. I have two younger siblings, Richie, a freshman in high school and Kayla, in seventh grade. They might not realize it, but they inspire me each and every day. Richie is an amazing athlete with a huge heart. He inspires me to attempt to keep up with him and exercise, eat healthy and always be kind to everyone. Kayla is an amazing cheerleader and dancer with so much love. She inspires me to love with no limits, always dance my heart out and to always smile. My parents have loved me unconditionally and push me to strive for the best. I am so grateful for such great siblings that I will forever be able to call my best friends. My mom is the school nurse at my high school which has been an amazing experience for me. I wouldn’t have wanted to go through the last four years with anyone else by my side, guiding me through life. She is my best friend and never fails to be there when I need someone. My dad is the owner of AllTime Plumbing, his hard work and determination motivates me daily. He has taught me so many life lessons and skills that I will forever cherish. My dad is also my best friend and has shown me since the day I was born how important family is. My family is so special and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me.
What are a couple of your favorite local restaurants in the community?
A few of my favorite local restaurants in the community include Patrizia’s in Red Bank, Ce la Vi in Red Bank and Jose Tejas in Woodbridge.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, it would be Europe. My mom and I have always dreamt about touring all of Europe and learning about the culture and history. I would love to travel Europe with my family one day and I hope we get the opportunity to do so!
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
One of my favorite movies is High School Musical, ever since I was young I have loved Zac Efron and love all of his movies. Some of my favorite TV shows include Friends, Gossip Girl and Riverdale.
What is your go to band to listen to?
My go to band to listen to is the Jonas Brothers. I have always loved their songs and seeing them in concert this past summer makes listening to their songs even better!
If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
If I could choose someone to have lunch with I would choose Zac Efron. He is someone I have wanted to meet since the first High School Musical movie came out in 2006. I admire his work in both films and charity. I would like to meet at Copper Canyon in Atlantic Highlands for lunch.
What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about my community is the way we all get together for events like the North vs. South football game, the St. Mary’s Fair, Middletown Day and other town wide events.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 to 10 years I see myself traveling the world. It has always been my biggest dream to travel and see the world for myself. While traveling, I would also love to volunteer in foreign countries and help make a difference in this world.
What show are you binge watching right now?
Right now I am binge watching throwback shows on Disney Plus like the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
What is your favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is July. It is my favorite month because I love summer and my family usually goes on an amazing vacation together! My favorite holiday is Christmas because my family gets together for dinner and some years my grandma from Arizona visits and my Grandpa from Michigan visits! The best single day on the calendar is December 31 because it is the last day of the year. It is so exciting because you are getting ready for a brand new year with new adventures!
Who inspires you to be better?
My family inspires me to be better. They always drive me to meet my goals and strive for the best. I am so thankful to have people who inspire me to be the best version of myself every day!
If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do different?
One thing that I would do differently is to have cherished every day of school. Driving past Middletown High School North and thinking about how I will never walk into those doors as a student again saddens me. It has made me realize that anything can be taken from you in a split second and you must learn to cherish every moment!
Who or what do you miss the most right now?
I miss my extended family and friends. I have always been so used to seeing everyone and having the opportunity to go out without thought, the pandemic has made me realize how much I took that for granted!
What is the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
The first thing I want to do when the quarantine rules are lifted is go shopping and out to eat with my friends and family!
